The Ukulele Challenge!
Do you remember the small guitar-like instrument that SRK carried in the cult movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge? You do? Well, that’s not the ukulele – it was a mandolin! Similar in appearance to the mandolin though, the ukulele is smaller in size than the guitar, and just as fun to play!
The ukulele is commonly associated with music from Hawaii where the name roughly translates as "jumping flea," likely because of the movement of the player's fingers. According to Queen Liliʻuokalani, the last Hawaiian monarch, the name means "the gift that came here," from the Hawaiian words uku (gift or reward) and lele (to come).
True to its name, the gift of the Ukulele has come here to India!
Just imagine that you and your team are in one of those exotic, beautiful beaches of Hawaii, a drink of Hawaiian Margarita in your hands, a cool summer breeze on your face and but of course, the sounds of the ukulele in the background…. Can one get closer to paradise?
