The Mandala Challenge
Mandala is a Sanskrit word that loosely translates to “circle” or “center” in a spiritual context. The circle is the symbol of wholeness, unity, and eternity. In Hinduism and Buddhism, a Mandala is an art that aligns both mind and soul towards a spiritual journey of self-discovery. The imagery depicts the universe, and the symbols represent one’s spiritual journey, the cycles of birth, life, and death, and the interconnectedness of all living things. We're delighted to bring together the Mandala Challenge, a unique experience that teaches the power of mindfulness to individuals and teams in the most unassuming way possible by bringing art, mindfulness, and meditative practices together.

Due to the nature of this activity, it works best in an outdoor setting amidst nature. The setting helps participants to be truly disconnected from other distractions and be in the present moment. Ensure that the weather is not uncomfortable. If you are conducting this indoors, you will need a large enough conference room with cluster seating. Adding to it, you will need an AV setup and collar mic for a larger venue.
This activity is designed as an individual activity. However, for the seating, it's best to have 6 to 8 participants clustered at a table.
It is a lot of fun! Participants are thoroughly immersed and engaged during the entire activity. The fact that the possibilities you can have with designing mandalas is just the tip of the iceberg. Every participant can walk away with profound and deeper meaning from the entire experience.
All participants are thoroughly engaged during the activity. Since the participating groups’ behaviours are related to the organizational context, it is even more engaging for the senior leadership team. Needless to say, it is also a thorough stress buster.
