Dr. Pavan Soni is an engineer at heart, an innovation evangelist by profession, and a teacher by passion. He teaches extensively on design thinking, which he believes can solve not only technical challenges but also people-centric challenges. He empowers businesses to go beyond conventional methods of problem-solving.
He has worked with numerous brands, including Amazon, Flipkart, Marico, Reliance Industries, and TATA.
His passion for innovation and teaching led him to set up a newsletter entitled Inflexion Point. He offers programs on Design Thinking, Strategic Acumen, and Consulting Skills through this monthly newsletter. Inflexion Point has over 20,000 subscribers. Dr Soni is also an adjunct faculty at IIM Bangalore and ISB Hyderabad.
He is a columnist at People Matters, Mint, YourStory, Entrepreneur, and Inc42. In addition, he has authored a book titled Design Your Thinking. The book was shortlisted for the ‘FT & McKinsey Bracken Bower Award 2016’ the Best Business Book of the Year category, and the ‘2021 BBLF CK Prahalad Best Business Book Award’.
He was also featured in YourStory’s ‘100 Digital Influencers of 2020’.
Dr. Pavan Soni holds a Ph.D. in innovation management from IIM Bangalore, a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from NITIE Mumbai, and a gold medal for graduation from the MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur.
