I have a dream job. To me what makes a job a dream job is three things – Mastery, Autonomy, and Purpose. And I consider myself lucky that I have all three of them. FocusU is the place where personal and professional growth hand-in-hand.

WHAT NEW SKILLS HAVE YOU DEVELOPED AT FOCUSU?

Most of us join the workforce so that we can earn well and live a good life. The typical path is by climbing the corporate ladder and getting a bigger paycheck. But there is more to it. You can earn a lot and still remain unhappy. While working at FocusU, I learned how to live a good life and make it meaningful, which is priceless and not everyone gets a chance.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO CHOOSE FOCUSU?

There is no pre-defined pathway. We figure out things as we go. Growth Mindset is for real.

WHAT KEEPS YOU HERE?

As said by Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher – “The only constant is change.” This quote fits very well. My journey from Focus Adventure Singapore to solo to FocusU and now Joyflar has been quite fascinating for me. Every new day is a brand-new day in FocusU – facing different problems, new bigger & different challenges, along with new growth opportunities. As the company evolves, so do you. That is what keeps me going.

HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO FOLLOW YOUR INTERESTS?

YES. Not only follow but I also developed tons of new hobbies. That can be summed up in one word – Wellness.
Physical wellness – eating healthy, staying fit & running
Mental wellness – meditation, growth mindset mentality & leaning about human psychology
Financial wellness – how to earn & spend. There is a big difference between getting rich & staying rich.
