Cultivating a Feedback Culture: How learning through a self-paced course enabled leaders at TurtleMint to give constructive feedback, driving employee performance
Turtlemint partnered with FocusU to instill a culture of continuous feedback among its leaders through a self-paced course, “Giving Impactful Feedback.” The course was designed to help managers, including CXOs, foster psychological safety and deliver constructive feedback in alignment with Turtlemint’s rapid growth and feedback-focused culture.
FocusU customized a 60-90 minute course with 30-day access for over 250 leaders. It covered critical skills like active listening, recognizing biases, and using the SBI (Situation-Behavior-Impact) framework for feedback. To ensure practical learning, the course was storified, allowing participants to apply feedback skills by interacting with a fictional character. After completing the course, participants evaluated their understanding through application exercises.
Results showed 382 participants enrolled, with 140 actively completing at least one challenge. Feedback was positive, with an average rating of 4.52/5. Leaders noted the relatability of the content and its relevance to real-world scenarios, indicating improved engagement with feedback practices. The program effectively reinforced Turtlemint’s feedback culture, empowering leaders to provide timely and constructive feedback.
