From Potential to Performance: A Customized Experiential Learning Program for Cross-Functional Pharma Teams
A global pharmaceutical company partnered with FocusU to enhance the skills and self-awareness of a select group of high-potential employees across varied roles, including senior leaders. This four-month journey focused on building execution skills, fostering collaboration, and promoting self-motivation, using a blend of physical and virtual sessions.
Stage 1 involved a workshop on personal branding, which engaged participants deeply. The subsequent stages, adjusted for virtual delivery during the pandemic, adhered to FocusU’s experiential learning methodology—Act, Engage, Share, Reflect. Participants were guided through sessions on influence without authority, collaboration, and accountability. A high-tech multiplayer simulation encouraged participants to apply theoretical insights through teamwork.
Customized workbooks enabled participants to document and revisit key learnings, while the interactive format kept them motivated and focused. Feedback highlighted high engagement, with participants appreciating the mix of theory, real-time application, and dynamic interaction. Stakeholders reported improved team cohesion and saw the training as setting a high standard for future programs.
