Enhancing Trust, Collaboration and Purpose at CGI
CGI partnered with FocusU to develop a six-month learning journey called “Building Unbreakable Teams” for 230 senior leaders, targeting improvements in trust, collaboration, and purpose. Prompted by insights from a Great Place to Work Trust survey, CGI aimed to address internal team dynamics and enhance business impact.
The program utilized a blended learning approach. It began with a 4-hour Lego Serious Play (LSP) workshop, where participants used Lego models to foster dialogue on shared goals and operational challenges, promoting trust and openness. A two-month microlearning journey followed, delivered via mobile app, covering teamwork fundamentals like psychological safety, conflict resolution, and accountability using Patrick Lencioni’s “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.”
To reinforce learning, two virtual gamified workshops, “Spin It To Win It!” and “Why Should Anyone Be Led by You?”, engaged participants with real-world team dynamics and leadership principles. Feedback indicated a 12.2% improvement in team purpose, 8.3% in collaboration, and 4.7% in trust scores. Leaders rated the experience 4.5 out of 5, praising its relevance and gamified elements
