Happiness at Work Simulation
Happiness is one of the most significant determinants of professional success. Happier employees work harder, work better in teams, and are more productive. The return on investing in employee happiness is, therefore, a win-win proposition for any organization.

Storyline
FocusU, in association with KNOLSKAPE, brings The Happiness at Work Simulation based on Professor Raj Raghunathan’s BAMBA© Model of Happiness. The simulation can be used to bridge the gap between theory and practical application and help leaders learn how to create happy, conducive work environments.
Putting participants in situations where they can experience and work through such challenges mirroring those faced in real life, the simulation analytics and optional debrief sessions by the facilitators help derive insights into making Happiness at work a reality.
The simulation engages participants as leaders of a team with realistic characters and compelling team dynamics. As leaders, participants must tap into each team member’s needs and choose from over 200 actions to raise satisfaction, engagement and morale levels. The impact of these actions is easy to assess through the detailed charts and personalized reports provided at the end of the simulation.
The simulation throws up useful analytics for individual participants and helps them:
- Recognize the five needs that should be fulfilled to foster happy and successful teams
- Identify the significant determinants of their team member’s happiness at work
- Employ creative and effective ways to address the identified determinants of their happiness and thereby enhance productivity

Frequently asked questions

Every single workshop (except the asynchronous self-paced modules) is customized to the precise customer need and brief. Our client advisory team will work closely with you to understand your context and pass it on to the execution team.
We are glad you asked that question. Every learning intervention starts with "Why?" and "What is the difference you want to see at the workplace because your learner attended this session?" Once we are clear, our learning designers put together a thoughtfully curated learning journey that could be a mix of different methodologies chosen to suit your learning environment. Besides this, to aid learning, we can (optionally) buttress it through:
- A pre-learning assignment for learners to know where they stand before the journey
- A post-learning assignment helps learners know where they stand after the journey. Assessing the gap in learning helps learners in bridging it.
- Pocket insights—a ready reckoner with the key concepts that can either be carried along or be pinned up as a ready reminder.
- Manager Essentials—tips (for the managers of the learners) to recognize behavioral changes and create an environment that encourages the learners to put what they have learned to practice.
- Post-learning application of learning at the workplace through a specific project.
- We try to capture the impact of every learning intervention through an impact report that is then shared with clients.
Do download the brochure Above. While this will give you an overall workshop structure, our learning designers will still need to talk with you to customize the workshop to your context.
For each workshop, we can help you with three different teasers you can customize and share periodically with participants to build excitement and get traction.
Simulations can be delivered in virtual or in-person mode. This simulation cannot be delivered asynchronously, since the learning happens from the group interactions.
