Storyline
It’s the end of the world as we know it! Time and resources are limited, and the fate of the human species depends on mining a rare metal. Those on the search for this rare metal refer to the experience as Evvive. At a critical time like this, the needs of the many must be put before the glory of one. It doesn’t help to know that every iteration presents a new challenge.
FocusU, in collaboration with Memcorp Immersive, brings this immersive simulation to create a situation where participants learn to develop collaborative management strategies and work with one another. The challenges they face in the process of transforming into Methanites open their minds to different perspectives and help uncover interesting insights.
The simulation positions participants as a team working to save mankind from extinction. With merely 365 days left till the air turns into methane, humans must quickly mine enough ‘Movilennium’ to become ‘methanites’. Finding the mine isn’t enough. Extraction is expensive, and it is only by engaging in profitable commerce that the resources needed will become available.
Immersing themselves in the simulation allows participants to stretch their thinking. In the reflective session that follows, several observations emerge:
- Focusing on the bigger picture rather than only immediate gains
- Identifying and leveraging individual skills for the good of the team
- Communicating to collaborate, not compete
- The importance of resource management
- None of us is as smart as all of us
A discussion of these observations and reflection on the similarities between searching for Movilennium and their own career often leads to a shift in priorities from competition to collaboration.

Simulations can be delivered in virtual or in-person mode. This simulation cannot be delivered asynchronously, since the learning happens from the group interactions.
Every single workshop (except the asynchronous self-paced modules) is customized to the precise customer need and brief. Our client advisory team will work closely with you to understand your context and pass it on to the execution team.
We are glad you asked that question. Every learning intervention starts with "Why?" and "What is the difference you want to see at the workplace because your learner attended this session?" Once we are clear, our learning designers put together a thoughtfully curated learning journey that could be a mix of different methodologies chosen to suit your learning environment. Besides this, to aid learning, we can (optionally) buttress it through:
- A pre-learning assignment for learners to know where they stand before the journey
- A post-learning assignment helps learners know where they stand after the journey. Assessing the gap in learning helps learners in bridging it.
- Pocket insights—a ready reckoner with the key concepts that can either be carried along or be pinned up as a ready reminder.
- Manager Essentials—tips (for the managers of the learners) to recognize behavioral changes and create an environment that encourages the learners to put what they have learned to practice.
