Diwali is just around the corner and excitement is in the air. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to engage your team, because the team that celebrates together, stays together. Use this opportunity to have a fun engagement within your team. Here are a few team games that will build up energy this Diwali for your organization:

 Humpty Dumpty Race:
Mark a start and finish line for your team. Ask the participants to keep an egg between their legs (thighs) and run to the finish line without dropping the egg on the floor. The winner gets to keep all the eggs!
 Ballooza:
Have large water balloons prepared beforehand (if they are not available

engagement within your team

Image Source: http://www.ecocameron.com/team-building-activities.htmlthen use large air balloons). Have at least two teams. Ask them to stand in a queue facing in one direction (one participant behind the other, which means a person can see the back of the person in front of him/her and the first person has no one ahead of him/her). Teams have to place one balloon between each other holding and balancing the balloon using their stomach and the back of the next person and go through a track in the minimum amount of time. The team that completes the track in the least time wins. If the balloon is punctured the team starts again.
 Wowzilla:
This is an activity in which everyone writes down how will they react when they meet someone they never expected to meet (favourite celebrity, any family member whom they never expected, a friend, an ex-lover, etc.). Let people write their reaction on a piece of paper, which is then folded and kept in a bowl. Form a circle and allow one person to pick up the folded paper and read the reaction. He acts out the reaction and guess who the person met. Then the person who wrote the reaction initially would step in and tell everyone about the reaction. The game will go on with everyone picking up a chit one by one and showing the reaction.
 Mummy Returns:
For this exercise, you need toilet paper. Ask participants to make pairs and number themselves one and two. The ones will be the wrappers and the twos will be the mummies. The challenge for the wrappers is to wrap their partner (mummy) fully with the toilet paper in the fastest possible time. The team that does it first is given the title “Master Mummies.”
 The Happy Feet Challenge:
This is a very powerful activity, especially for people who would not like to be a part of fun activities because they like to sit out during such engagement sessions. Through dancing creatively, participants learn not to judge themselves, to stop seeking approval, and to dance without caring about judgments. This is an excellent way to end the Diwali bash at your office with a message of personal development. To find out more about this challenge click here.
