Weaving a Web of Connections: A Long-Term Strategy for Regional Leadership Excellence
The North Regional Leadership Team (RLT) at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) embarked on a transformative journey facilitated by FocusU to strengthen team cohesion and alignment. With a new leader joining the team, FocusU developed a series of interventions spread over two years. The journey began with a two-day workshop focusing on self-awareness using the MBTI tool and trust-building through a Johari-based self-disclosure exercise, creating a foundation for open communication and vulnerability.
In subsequent sessions, the team engaged in LEGO Serious Play to explore challenges and strengths, ultimately crafting a two-year vision and team mantra. Over the next two years, FocusU introduced team cascades, feedback sessions, and shared experiences to solidify the team’s unity and performance.
The journey had a significant impact, earning the “Historic Thursday-Friday” moniker within HUL. The RLT saw a surge in business results and accolades, credited to the strong interpersonal bonds and unified goals. HUL’s HR Business Partner praised FocusU’s empathy and expertise in facilitating a lasting, human-centered impact on the team, fostering a collaborative culture that persisted beyond individual roles and locations.
