The 10 Best Hotels/Resorts for Team Building Off-sites in Bangalore

Clients often ask us for recommendations on venue options to host their annual team retreats and team building off-sites. Based on our experience of conducting team building programs for many of our clients, below are our recommendations of the ten best hotels/resorts in and around Bangalore (in no particular order). This doesn’t include drivable getaways from Bangalore like Mysore, Coorg, etc.

  1. Angsana Oasis Spa and Resort
Possibly our favorite for a senior leadership program, this picturesque property is a hot favourite of many clients to host their management meets.Angsana Oasis Spa and ResortSource: angsana

One of our favorite team building activities at Angsana is the Cooking Challenge in an outdoor setting! The banquet facilities are good and ideal for small to mid-sized groups of up to 60 people. If you get time during your retreat, their spa is definitely worth a visit.
  1. Golden Palms Hotel and Spa
Situated in a quaint location in Tumkur Road, Golden Palms is one place we blindly recommend to clients who are looking at a good venue to host their team off-site.Golden Palms Hotel and SpaSource: goldenpalmshotel

One thing that strikes us about the resort is size; everything is king-sized! They have one of the largest spas in India and possible the largest swimming pool in the country! There are multiple conference venues available, making it suitable for a large group conference (up to 150 people) with good breakout location options. If you are looking for an engaging team building activity, the Juggernaut Challenge on the lawn is an excellent option.
  1. Goldfinch Retreat
Located at a convenient 7km from the Airport (which is a big thing, if you haven’t travelled to Bangalore often!), The Goldfinch Retreat is another of our team’s favourites in Bangalore.Goldfinch RetreatSource: goldfinchhotels

The conference facilities are good, and can easily host a medium sized group of up to 100 participants quite comfortably. The 36-acre sprawling landscapes in the property make Geocaching Challenge one of our favourite team building activities at the resort.
  1. Olde Bangalore
Arguably one of the quaintest resorts in Bangalore, Olde Bangalore evokes nostalgia about all that Bangalore is known for!Olde BangaloreSource: oldebangalore

In the resort’s own words “Coming to Olde Bangalore (pronounced as “Old Bangalore”) is like taking a slow and lazy trip back in time – hard to imagine something like this in the middle of a city gone wild! Waking up to bird-song and retiring to the sound of silence are luxuries now available only miles away from habitation, unless you are at Olde Bangalore.” The banquet facilities are small but excellent for a small group. Conducting The Pixel Challenge on the beautiful lawn is one of our favorite team building activities at Olde!
  1. Clarks Exotica Resort
Possibly the largest hotel property in Bangalore (the grounds stretch over 70 acres!), Clarks Exotica Resort has never disappointed in the numerous programs that we have done at the venue.Clarks Exotica ResortSource: clarksexotica

The conferencing facilities are also excellent, with multiple indoor and outdoor options for medium and large groups. There are also a lot of entertainment options including water slides and indoor/outdoor activities at the hotel. So if you are planning a daylong team outing in Bangalore, this is arguably the best option! The vast expanse of the property and the big lawns, make the Corporate Olympics one of our favourite team activities at Clarks Exotica!

You might be wondering why you haven’t seen any of the large luxury hotels in our list. In Bangalore, most of them are bang in the middle of the city with very little of a resort feel, so we have consciously kept those out of the list. Feel free to comment and let us know if you know of any other gems we should add to this list for our future updates!
